So let's say I made up my own religion where a giant turkey god with peanutbutter pants is worshipped. Now, why is my God any less credible than the christian god? What's the difference?

Monti, how's about you prove god made me?

I should complete my religious scripture (The New and Improved, Websters revised, millenium edition, idiot's guide to peanutbutterpants-turkeyism) by next year.

Hmm. I'm an atheist, but your religion is intriguing.

Tell us more. Peanut butter pants, you say?

Would it be blasphemous to put the giant turkey god in rye pants with mayo?

Addition: I shall adjourn to the kitchen and worship the Giant Turkey God (Also known as Jimmy) directly :)

When you get a few million turkey worshipers psyched up enough to kill a few million non-believers, then you will have all the credit you need to be a real and respected, not to mention tasty religion.

Maybe you should start selling little necklaces with turkey wishbones on them as a symbol of hope that your turkey god brings.

You need to mix in some fear as well... if you can come up with something similar to the Christian's HELL, then you got a good means of recruiting people.

I would like to become a part of this religion. For some reason, it sounds more credible than Christianity.

Can we have a Holy Pie Day?

some have never seen snow, yet they know its white, its called faith.
some have never seen the sun, because of blindness, yet they know its there
and only one God has proven himself, for the mere fact that your here.
many gods are written in the bible, and have all been proven false cept God.
the answer your looking for is not always the answer you get
the difference is one emtpy grave, and one resurrected Lord.
all prophecies have come true, and one very significant one, all the tribes of Isreal are going back home..since being scattered to slavery from Babylon..for their lack of belief.
If Jesus doesnt exist, why on earth are you following the crowd and celebrating christmas, you turkey?

Well, that gives a whole new meaning to Thankgiving Day, doesn't it?
As long as your turkey god will listen to you and help you and heal you and redeem you from your sins and be with you and love you - I guess there's no real difference.

Has anyone witnessed this god's miracles? Has any of its prophecies come true? No? Then there it is. Now go play your Brittney Spears albums and leave the grown-ups alone

The difference is God sent His Son Jesus and allowed Him to be sacrificed so that your sins could be paid for and you would not have to go to hell.
