So here is my problem I took in a stray kitten around 3 months ago, I know she is not very old due to her size and my vet thinks she is around 8 months. I'm now sure she is pregnant. I first thought she was just getting fat, she has always been very loving, but now all other cats are fighting with her.
She is eating loads, loves her belly being stroked, she has pink nipples and did have a solid tummy. now I have been away as my mum was unwell and since I have got back her lower tummy is saggy (where the milk would normally build up) but her sides are still solid. any ideas or advice on whats going on? xXx

First, you really, really should have gotten her spayed. You can take her to the vet and make sure she'll have a healthy pregnancy (plus they can confirm the pregnancy and how far along she is). There's not much else to do, but wait the two months for her to give birth - then please, spay her!

You might want to start finding good homes for the kittens once the vet has confirmed the pregnancy.

Well, I have a cat that went through a transformation almost exactly as you describe, but it's a male. So I really doubt he's pregnant. Cats fight all the time, especially as the kitten gets older and tries to find it's own place in the pecking order. And if the kitten did not eat well before you took her in, she could still be eating far too much food, which over time would lead to a flabby gut with firm sides full of food.

But really if you want to know for sure, take the cat to a vet and find out for sure.

Good luck.

Your cat is pregnant! The same thing happened to my cat, there were the same observations,i didn't know if she was pregnant but now she has 2 kittens. With the signs you are saying, your cat is definitely pregnant. First you should fix her up a warm comfy bed so she can give birth to her kittens(not to gross you out but there will be lots of blood!so stay cautious) Also do not play with her as much, she needs to rest. When she is giving birth, keep her calm.

If you can feel the individual kittens, she's pregnant. However, she may also have a tumor or worm in her stomach which can present itself with aggressive behavior and excessive hunger. If you're unsure, take her to a vet and they will tell you for sure!

I'd say you already know what's going on. If you want positive confirmation, see your vet.
