Casting what? Casting glass or metal or plastic are all different from casting concrete. Pipe is a lot different from candy or dolls.

Wow this is a huge task....why...because continuous casting is a huge process. To make steel years ago, an ingot was formed and then rolled backward and forward until the ingot was no longer a block but a continuous ribbon of steel several kilometres long. With continuous casting the steel is poured continuously into a curved device that forms a ribbon of steel that is thick. This ribbon is rolled to make it thinner but the process has to increase the line speed because it is thinner. So the technology involved encompasses variable speed drive technology, electric motor techniques, plc technology and position and measuring systems. The best bet for information is to try Control Techniques web site or British Steel...should be able to find info there....and good luck

I've been around continuous curb casting machines. Also referred to as slip-forming. THe concrete is poured at a slump around 1" into the machine, which injects it between two forms. By the time it exits in place at the end, its in the shape of the curb. THe machine follows a set grade line along a string.

Centrifugal casting is a method of producing casting by pouring the molten metal into a rapidly rotating mould. The metal is thrown out towards the mould face by the centrifugal force under considerable pressure. The results in better mold filling and a casting with dencer grain structure, which is virtually free of porosity.
Types of centrifugal casting
According to the shape of the mold, the centrifugal casting method can be classified as:
True centrifugal casting ,
2 . Semi Centrifugal casting &
3. Centrifuge casting.
