John 5:7-8: "For there are three that bear record in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth: the spirit, and the water, and the blood, and these three agree in one."
John l:1 Jesus is God. Then how many Gods are there? Two at least. This contradicts many passages in the Bible: Deuteronomy 4:39: "... that the Lord He is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else"; Deuteronomy 6:4: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord", (Isaiah 43:10-11): "... that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside Me there is no savior"; (Isaiah 44:6): "Thus saith the Lord ... I am the first, and I am the last, and beside Me here is no God"; (Isaiah 45:18): "For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens;... I am the Lord; and there is none else."
How many God? 3, 2 or 1?

Don’t read bible without an expert beside you, if you don’t understand s/he can explain it to you. You are lucky; if you read bible whole night you will get nervous breakdown and PTSD.

They call it a Trinity for a reason. it is made up of tree individual Persoages!!
God, the Father= !
God, the Son= 2
God, the Holy ghost =3>> He testifies to the legitimacy of the Other Two.
Christ did not speak to Himself from the cross. Did He make the plan for our salvation? of, course he did. Then WHY would He call on on Himself ,to take away' this bitter cup' in the garden, and then ask Himself, to forgive us for what we were doing to Him, if it was He was the only One ?
The Council of Nicea were the ones, who decided this theory that the godhead was One in Purpose. How do they know that?
They could have said that Jesus wore a dress, high heels, and pearls, when he rode into Jerusalem. That wouldn't make it true.
Come on, people use your brains.
Nothing could be more simple than this, why do you people keep making it difficult???

In theory - there are / were always three: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. There is a difficulty in gaining this perspective from the OT for Jesus told his disciples that he would send a helper (Holy Spiriit) in Acts 1. (NT)
For God is so far above us that we could never get to Him, so he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to us, so we could "see" God.
In Gen1:26, God said - "Let US make man in OUR image...." This is the first reference to "more than one in heaven...."

"God is truly a Trinity – three persons in one. Mark 12:29 does not disprove this. It says that God is one. But we learn from other parts of the Bible that within this one there are three persons. For example, Jesus said, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). This shows that Jesus is fully God, and is bound with the Father in such a close and perfect relationship of love with the Holy Spirit that they are actually one.
As a result, when we worship Jesus we are worshipping God the Father. It is impossible to worship Jesus without worshipping the Father, and impossible to worship the Father properly unless you worship Jesus.
It is very important to believe in the Trinity, for two reasons. Firstly, unless Jesus is fully God, he could not have paid for our sins when he died on the Cross. Secondly, the Trinity guarantees that God is love. It is because God actually consists of three persons in loving relationship with one another that we say that he is love. It is because he is love within himself that he loves us.
Do not be put off by the Jehovah’s Witnesses. They love to take Bible passages out of context, and they even use a Bible which contains deliberate mistranslations to support their views.
The Trinity is a mystery. We humans cannot fully understand it. But that is OK, because it’s only natural that there will be some things about God that we won’t fully understand. The mystery of the Trinity is something that should make us love and trust God all the more."
I hope this helps! Check the link, they have answers to lots and lots of Christianity related questions.

John 5: 7-8 sounds like there's 3 gods who are one in "purpose" or agreement. Interesting I never came across that verse before.

The Holy Spirit=The Comforter=Sustainer
They are the God Head Three in One
Baptism with water
Covered by the Blood
Greater is he that lives in me then he that lives in this world.
There are no contridictions in the word of God. He said not one word would return void. Its simply misinterpretation.

The MYSTERY of GOD is that He is ONE but He exists in three persons - God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And YET He is only ONE GOD. It's BEAUTIFUL and MYSTERIOUS!!!
There is ONE God - He is REAL and He has great power. To all those who want to know Him - He will reveal Himself. He has the TRUE interpretation of the BIBLE.
When you read the Bible. Pause. Take a moment and PRAY. Praying simply means...take some time to talk to Him. He can see you and He can hear you. He knows the contents of our hearts. Just tell Him how you TRULY feel.
Tell Him.."LORD, I don't understand your Word. But I want to know what it's all about. Make me understand. Reveal yourself to me LORD. If you are REAL - show yourself to me. AMEN"

None of the above.
Long before a bunch of MEN got together to decide which writings to call "inspired" and make a book out of, people were cheerfully and effectively loving and hating in the names of numerous gods.
Lotta hubris in that book. Even Zeus, Odin and Amun-Ra were not so arrogant as to claim "one and only" status.
Namaste,

The Devil is trying to stop you from reading! When that happens you must pray for help and keep on reading and you'll feel better soon. And after a while it'll stop altogether.
There is only one God, but Jesus and the Father often refer to Themselves as one entity called GOD or Elohim.
That's why there are places where both of Them are saying that they are GOD. Does that clear things up?

The Father,Son & the Holy Spirit are one. They are three but one force.
Its better not to get confused, try some thing more simple. No body can understand it, its better left alone & believed.
