A person who's probably an atheist recently gave this response to a question pertaining to the way atheists and Christians interact on the topic of religious beliefs (or non-beliefs):
"I know the only people who keep knocking on my door, insist on coming in to preach against other beliefs (read: insult people's intelligence and choice) are people of faith.
Never heard of door-to-door atheists."
Does that SAY IT ALL, or what?!?

To "WordOfFaith2008" -- There is NOTHING "hellish" about evolution. Evolution is scientific FACT, and the proof of it abounds in rock strata, worldwide. As for the Bible -- MY God is omniscient and omnipotent, which means that His creating the evolutionary process right along with the rest of the universe was duck soup to Him. Too bad about the more LIMITED God of the inflexible fundies.
-- "Roadrat" -- Normal, sensible, tolerant and actual Christian. Christians like me comprise 94% of America's professing Christians. We should never be confused with the intolerant pseudo-Christians who comprise the other 6% -- the RRR Cult. The "Religious" Radical Right.

To "WordOfFaith2008" -- I don't know who those fanciful "evolutionists" are that you're talking about. That's usually just an attempt to impose a term that's supposed to be regarded as a pejorative upon knowledgeable and reputable scientists. Scientists KNOW that evolution is a fact, and as a geologist, that includes me. To deny the seemingly-infinite amount of proof that exists in the fossil records, worldwide, would be totally ludicrous! Evolution is scientific FACT. And we **never** call it "theory." That's in the domain of mostly-ignorant people who seem to think that it somehow conflicts with the Bible. It doesn't. Not even remotely. See what I said above about God's omnipotence.

To "Trevor" -- By the way, the vast MAJORITY of *Christians* have no problem recognizing that evolution is scientific fact. Think about THAT!
