it really depends on what Church you are involved in because the Catholic church is not in control of the Uniting church

Maybe you should educate yourself on the topic first, rather than make a comment that you've just overheard and thought that it sounded convincing and important to just you.

Movies aren't exactly on people's minds when they seriously talk about the separation of church and state and certainly not about Catholics in particular.

It's a debate regarding the government infringing upon the people's ability to unequivocally and freely practice their religious beliefs through government regulations. The other side is that all religious connotations in the nation should be removed so that no one gets any preference - in other words, removing religion in any form from the country.

The Catholics are not in charge!!! Where did you get that idea? If the Catholics were in charge there would be prayer in school!!! The State and the church are separate that is why all religious symbols have to be removed. They can't even display a bible!

In America Church and State were initially separate. As America was not founded a christian nation. However the religious organizations wouldn't let that last for long.

EDIT: Either way you're over-reacting.

And what delusional back-woods pastor told you the Catholics were to blame for all your problems? Your venom only shows your ignorance.

Was it the Jews last week? Or those uppity northerners?

(2 CORINTHIANS 4:3-4) If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.

The god [ small g ] of this system is Satan.
Any religions complying with the system is obeying satan and not Almighty God.
Any religion involving itself in politics is not acceptable to God.
Jesus made sure he never got involved in the politics of his day. There were Jewish groups fighting the Romans, but they never prevailed.

Nobody cares what Catholics think of movies except for other Catholics. And really most catholics don't care what other catholics think of movies.

The president isn't Catholic.
