- Jesus removed the strict dietary Jewish laws
- Jesus called the religious leaders of the time hypocrites
- Jesus criticised the attachment to old rituals and ideas
- Jesus attacked the establishment's lack of compassion for society's underdogs and was the only one to show the compassion (eg. prostitutes, sufferers of socially-repugnant diseases)

What he attacked is very much present in some of today's religious leaders

long-haired radical socialist Jew

Well Jesus was a homeless lad With an unwed mother and an absent dad And I really don't think he would have gotten that far If Newt, Pat and Jesse had followed that star Refrain: So let's all sing out praises to That long-haired radical socialist Jew When Jesus taught the people he Would never charge a tuition fee He just took some fishes and some bread And made up free school lunches instead So let's all sing out praises to.... He healed the blind and made them see He brought the lame folks to their feet Rich and poor, any time, anywhere Just pioneering that free health care So let's all sing out praises to.... Jesus hung with a low-life crowd But those working stiffs sure did him proud Some were murderers, thieves and whores But at least they didn't do it as legislators So let's all sing out praises to.... Jesus lived in troubled times the religious right was on the rise Oh what could have saved him from his terrible fate? Separation of church and state. So let's all sing out praises to....Sometimes I fall into deep despair When I hear those hypocrites on the air But every Sunday gives me hope When pastor, deacon, priest, and pope Are all singing out their praises to Some long-haired radical socialist Jew. They're singing out their praises to..oooo..oooo..Some long-haired radical socialist Jew.

Christians are considered Conservative because as a born again Christian, your conscience gets attacked by the Holy Spirit, And you see all the things that you were doing wrong, and see what is right. Being a Christian opens your eyes up to sinful natures that may not have been considered sins to you before. So you got the Holy ghost convicting you and trying to steer you in the right way. I think that's how we get labeled conservative. Because we are Christians and we strive to please God in our lives.
I'm not sure about the second part of your question. I know Jesus didn't want denominations, He wanted all to have a like mind and follow the same teaching.

The Jewish religious leaders had used tradition for so long they had forgotten the principle involved.
They had turned simple hand washing before meals [ for health reasons] into a long winded riutual, washing right up to the elbows.
(MATTHEW 15:3) In reply he said to them: “Why is it YOU also overstep the commandment of God because of YOUR tradition?

(MATTHEW 15:6) he must not honor his father at all.’ And so YOU have made the word of God invalid because of YOUR tradition.

I think you are talking about American Christians. And it's true, Christians in America have turned their religion into a cheap political party. It's really amazing, but that's exactly what they have done. Because of this, they've materialized the divine, which is what Marx was trying to do. Who would have guessed that Christians would accomplish this first? hehe! And they are destroying their religion by cheapening it as a political party...which is maybe good for a pagan like me!

Why do you believe that Jesus' mission was to destroy conservatism? That is not what the Bible says.

The Bible says that Jesus came to do the will of the Father. That will was that Christ would die on a cross taking upon Himself the punishment for those God would redeem.

North American right wing Christians do not define or encompass worldwide Christianity. They just think they do.

I think religion and politics mixed together is a bad idea.
