I think in the old testiment some one was chatissed for spilling his seed on the ground, instead of helping his brother's widdow have a child.

If you look up my previous question on what to give my brother's widdow for her first Christmas after his recent death, one responder said "a child". I took it as a BAD joke and did not acknowledge it (based on paragraph above^)

Many women like to "judge" men for spilling seed...a sin they aparently cannot be guilty of. Is that how you read God's Word on the subject I will not name in all circumstances, or was that a limited slap on the wrist for that specific ocasion only?

I offer this verse, to show I am not pulling your chain, as it were...

"And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even. And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even."

Leviticus 15:16-17

I stand corrected. But this only STRENGTHENS my question.

The 2nd responder said, "Onan wasn't "chastised" for spilling his seed, he was killed for disobeying God and refusing to impregnante his brother's widow with a child that wouldn't be Onan's heir."

Obviously, the other question I asked tonight was the one I was looking up, not this one, or I would have noticed that Omar got a "stiff" penalty (no pun intended).

Do you think my wife would mind me confessing that SHE thinks it is a big sin?

I don't think we can just "close the curtains" to keep the better half out of our business, as another responder said...even starting the question with the word MEN does not keep the curious ladies away.

Welcome to all! As I say to my wife all the time, "What is mine is yours!"

I still get the last word!

"Yes dear".

Lets not forgot, you cant do this without thoughts. If you start thinking of beautiful women wile your doing it then you would be Lusting. Lust is a sin and requires repenting. I think it goes, he would rather you spill your seed in a belly of a whorer than upon the ground...Whats that tell ya! Dont waste it....but we all do.

God the daddy isn't a guy, nor became into He ever (Numbers 23:19, a million Samuel 15:29, Hosea 11:9). he's Spirit (John 4:24), and Spirit isn't created from flesh and bone (Luke 24:39). there is just one real God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah forty 3:10, forty 4:6-8). He continuously has and continuously will exist (Deuteronomy 33:27, Psalm ninety:2, a million Timothy a million:17), and that He became into not created, yet is the writer (Genesis chapter1, Psalm 24:a million, Isaiah 37:sixteen).

I suppose if you got some in your eye, it could make things blurry, but I doubt you'd go blind.

Onan wasn't "chastised" for spilling his seed, he was killed for disobeying God and refusing to impregnante his brother's widow with a child that wouldn't be Onan's heir.

If you know many women judging men for spilling seed, those are women that know too much about what should be between a man and his right hand. Try closing your curtains, bro.

Masturbation is a sin, no matter what sex is doing it. THey may not go physically blind, but they will be blinded spiritually and be blocked from the full understand from God on their life and purpose He has for them. Spiritual blindness is way worse than being physically blind. What good does it do a man to be able to see, hear, and have a forture in money if he is to be lost? Ppl can mock these things. NO matter to God. What He says is real and true, and ppl will either be blessed by their thoughts and actions of cursed. Choice is one hudnred percent theirs.
Just read Gods word and pray and then you will see the answers to this and all things.
God bless you for asking. and God will bless you if you sincerely go to only Him for answers.
Godspeed my friend...

Well Mike--if this were all true--we would all have them special canes and german shepards dragging us around. Sorry, but I don't think you will get too much in the way of answers here--I feel God has a sense of humor and gets a few good ones off now and then---the stories he started lets him have a few laughs watching men think that they will go blind after ONE MORE TIME of the seed spilling that goes on. He certainly has your attention---look up and thank him for that beautiful gift of sight. Happy Holidays to you

Ok, long story short...
One of the earliest forms of birth control was pulling out (still popular today). In the olden days the best way to promote your culture/religion/ethnicity, etc was to outpopulate your neighbors. So, in order to generate maximum population growth, you make it a religious blessing to have children and a 'sin' to do anything that might prevent pregnancy.

I am not a scholar, but my take on the word against spilling of the seed was because of the deceit and greed involved. I do not see it as a law against birth control. It is not fruitful to take one scripture and build a case for doctrine or dogma. Blessings to you and yours.

God came down as a man, in the desert living area. So what do YOU think?

From the ancient religions to the present, priests of the temple have had their moments...from themselves, to temple 'virgins' to being 'married with children'. Chastity is something man has imposed on his gods, but not the gods on man...so what do YOU think?

I would not repent for doing something that is good for my health, both physical and emotional. People who have a problem with this also have other problems that they will not talk about. Also, I do not believe in forgiveness, it is a cheap shot.
