No. It is strictly hypothetical.

It is possible that there will be a draft but it is far from a certainty. Our military sources have been depleted (by Clinton and then the two wars with Iraq) and it may be necessary to replenish these forces by the end of next year. Do not start to worry now. It is still far away and may never happen. It all depends upon who gets elected president and whether Congress is Democratic or Republican. If you are concerned about a draft then buy some books on the Army air Force exams so you can study for them if needed. If you can take a test and get a high grade then you will be moved into the Army Air Force....a great branch. I was in the Air Force and I loved it.

Not as of right now, but the day could come again.
As "Fancy Unicorn" stated, it is un-constitutional, well this statement might be considered false!
It would seem that Article 13, Section 1 would outlaw the concept of the conscription of citizens into the military forces ("Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude....") Though you might be able to argue that compulsive military service is a form of involuntary servitude, I think that if the issue came up in court, the judge(s) would note that the term "involuntary servitude" has a very specific connotation, and military service is not part of it. The Congress has the power to regulate the armed forces, and the Selective Service registration doubtless would fall under that provision.

It's a scare tactic used by people who oppose war to convince people that continued military action might place "civilians" in danger.
The fact is that we couldn't be farther from a draft. Since the beginning of military operations, enlistment numbers have greatly increased. All five branches of the military meet and exceed their numbers every year, and have been since the invasion of Afghanistan.
Presumably, if we were to get to a point where we weren't getting enough, the standards could be lowered. Right now, a very large number of applicants are simply not accepted due to a variety of reasons (health, personal debt, family). Someone who was diagnosed with ADD 5 years ago is a red flag, and that's not a debilitating disease.
Anytime someone mentions the draft, you can safely assume they have a political axe to grind and don't wish to bother with reality.

People on here always ask silly ridiculous questions on here. A bunch of hypochondriacs thinking that the military manning situation is far worst then it really is. There is no plan to restart the draft. People with back bone and pride serve in our military draft or no draft!

It's the whining liberal left trying to stir up fear, discontent, and more anti-war feelings...
The only "attempt" to reinstate the draft has come from Congressman C. Rangel (D. NY) who has introduced a bill twice and then withdrawn it.
It is most certainly NOT Unconstitutional. Some of these lil kids need to READ the document.

The draft is not being reinstated. There is nothing you don't know. (And by the way, there is nothing unconstitutional about a draft!)
Honestly, I don't know why people ask about the draft. They like to look and explore the worst and most improbable situations.
Here's why. No one would vote for anyone who supported a draft, because nobody would want to be drafted.

No you are just seeing posts from some idiot who is trying to stir people up. If you read his posts he keeps talking about moving away from this country to avoid a draft if there ever was one again. Nothing to worry about, just an idiot being an idiot.
