She may have been weaned from her mother but the desire to suck is still there. I wouldn't worry about it. She will do it less as she gets older. Still, many cats have that instinct. I've seen elderly cats appear to be sucking on something while they're sleeping.

Probably weaned from her Momma too soon. Some kittens are like this when they haven't had enough time nursing from Momma. Some cats continue this into adulthood. I have one that does it all the time. They consider you kinda their Momma.

I know as a fact that it is normal and lovely for your cat to suck on your earlobe, chin, nose or a piece of cloth. Cats never forget how happy they were when nursing on their queen mother and some will continue to do so forever, while others do it less and less, but usually continue to "one two or knead" on cloth which is how they got the milk out of the mother's teat. You are lucky that your cat feels so safe and serene with you.

Just as babies sometimes use pacifiers to soothe themselves, your kitten is using you to soothe herself. It will pass as soon as she is a bit older, but in the meantime, think of it as love. You will miss it when she gets older and independent, as cats do. Then, she will tolerate you in the home, but not without her permission. So, enjoy! How delightful. Thanks for sharing that. Sounds so cute, and you are a surrogate mommy right now. congratulations. :)
