I'd suggest a Winegard-SS-3000. Well designed and has good reviews.

If you can't pick up stations with this, you will probably have to use an outside antenna.

Keep in mind that you will have to play around with the direction and location of the antenna. If you have problems be sure to try placing the antenna as high as possible and also in front of any windows that face the direction of the local TV transmitters.

PS The answer you got from "rd.1109" makes no sense at all.

Umm... digital cable is going to go analog in 2008. That means absolutley NO SIGNAL for antennas. Time warner is very cheap and very good deals. Try them.
