I don't care for pasta salad with Italian type dressings. My favorite is a ranch/bacon dressing I make by mixing a cup of mayo with a packet of ranch mix and a handful of real bacon bit. Thin it with a bit of milk if necessary and add more mayo if it is not creamy enough. Bert

So many mayo dressings!!! I use the Paul Newmans Italain dressing- I think it's the olive oil and vinegar one. I made pasta salad today and can't wait to eat it tomorrow- always tastes better the day after when everything has marinated. MMMMM

I don't have any specific measurements, but if a mayo based dressing, I add a few drops Tabasco sauce, maybe 1/2 tsp or so of Lea & Perrins Worcestshire sauce, a tsp of dry mustard and salt & pepper to taste. Makes a good, kind of tangy dressing.

My favorite dressings are oil and vinegar based and premade. My two favorites are Marie Callendars Italian and Berensteins Cheese Fantastico. Toss with your favorite pasta and let sit overnight to expand the flavors. You can also purchase the no-fat versions as well.
