IATA courses are good, if you wish to stick to "ticketing" part of tourism. It is indoor job / employment.

If you love to move around, visit places, enjoy crowds and places, then obviously you need to pick up a career in travel industry ( outdoors ) like tour managers, guides etc.

Please read more about various places, people, geography, history before jumping in the career.

There's a beautiful course at Gwalior about tourism. Mumbai University ( Kalina campus - Garware Institute ) runs a course on tourism, too.

I travel and trek a lot - it's my hobby. I can suggest one more offbeat way to shape your career. TRAVEL extensively in India, atleast. It's costly but very very entertaining and educating. You can at some stage start your own tourism firm / company.

Best luck.

Can suggest an out of the box thought. Forget doing sources further. Going on tour is something interesting. It may not be that interesting as a vocation. Consider an online business idea. Start earning. Here also you meet a lot of interesting people. Interested, revert to me.
