i like how they don't blindly follow that which to them does not make sense, it shows alot of honesty and courage to not hide behind stories, in that way they are not foolish, but i do think that they make a mistake in assuming that Truth is something that can be proven through materialism. Even if they would figure out the entire universe which is an impossibility anyway, there is still meaning that must be derived from it, and that is where Truth lies. The Truth is that knowledge really doesn't reveal anything more than what u already know, because knowledge is infinite, it's the nature of the universe. The more u know, the less u know....all what is gained is a bigger headache

It's a big obstacle to overcome but if they are of the Truth their own heart and ill content will drive them forward until they will come to it in the end - i believe that.

Really I am glad for them. I am still amazed why they would even want to come here at all. Yet they do. I wonder what is it about the spiritual experience that attracts them here?

I believe all knowledge of man should point to the truth. And the more you learn, the more one understands man does not know anything. And scince that is the case how can they say there is no God with absolute certainty? How can they just deny our experience as if it were nothing. As if the most important spiritual decision we have ever made in our lives is stupid or idiotic. Being born against is a very profound event. Just as a natural birth when parents have a child, and people around them celebrate it. So too do the angels of heaven celebrate when a lost sinner in heave is found.

I am saddened that I cannot cause an atheist to think beyond this life time. I am saddened that he does not believe he is an eternal being,. That the creator of the universe died for him, because he loved him so much.

At times I understand Paul, who himself wished he too were accursed so that the enemies of Christ would then become believers instead.

The same as any other person. I see them according to the way they act and talk. If they are acting obnoxious, I will walk past and think they are obnoxious. If they smile and say "hi" I'll smile and nod or speak accordingly.
I don't ask what people's beliefs are. If I am in a group, say coworkers or whatever and someone makes it known that they are atheist, I don't think less, or more, of them. If they are deliberately trying to get to me or anyone else, I'll think they are a jerk and a fool; because they are acting as a jerk and a fool, not because they are atheist.

In short, the same as anyone else I cross paths with everyday.

Usually, none.
I was raised Christian. Grandfather was a preacher, two uncles were preachers, one aunt and two cousins were missionaries, dad was a deacon, father-in-law and two of my wifes uncles were preachers. And I am a theology major in college. Throughout all of that, I never once heard anyone even mention atheists or atheism. They talked a lot about other denominations, rock and roll, Hollywood, and plenty of other religions. But atheism was so far from anyone's mind that it never came up in sermons or casual conversation.

The only Christians who have feelings about atheists are those who happened to interact with atheists. If that experience is limitted to Yahoo Answers, it is usually negative. But Christians who have met adult atheists in the real world tend to have a relatively positive opinion, and may even sympathize with weak atheism.

>Atheists say that Christians discriminate against the atheists by using telling the atheists what the Christians have self assurance. As an atheist, this heavily isn't what I say, and that i don't think of many different atheists say it the two. there is countless discrimination against atheists (or, equivalently, in desire of theists) happening, yet what you're describing interior the sentence above isn't component of it.

I like the guy who said "arrogance". Usually our answers are based in logic, Christian beliefs are based on a book that several different people wrote.

I find the true Christian more arrogant that they KNOW they are right, end of story "cause god is true".

I'm fine with the atheists who have seriously considered the question of God and reject it. I have the same problem with atheists who reject God because it's the cool thing to do as I do with Christians who accept God because everybody they know does.

I certainly cant speak for all Christians.. but me personally?

A bit of concern and pity (of their spiritual status) mixed with some anger (at their arrogance) along with some sadness (for their future).

I would definitely say though, that as a whole Christians are more concerned for athiests well being, than vice-versa.

Unfortunately, many Christians cross the line and are outright mean to them. This accomplishes the opposite of what you would hope. Just because youre Christian doesn't mean you are not subject to living in a fallen world like everyone else. Christians do just as much sinning as any other man.

You can disagree with them... but still have Love for them as brothers, unconditionally.
