I was raised in a Christian household but I am an agnostic. I just cannot support some of the beliefs of the Christian religion.

I left Christianity because I never believed in it - not even as a child even though I wanted to desperately.
I picked up the bottle first, then left it.
Landed in heathenism and found what I was lacking in a religion and my life. That feeling of "coming home" and deities I could relate to and a system that I fit in.

Raised in a very liberal Lutheran church, converted to being a Bible believing Christian while in high school.
Why?
I finally heard the real gospel which had been totally lost inside all those man made ceremonies.

I was raised Catholic, and was very devout. My family is still very devout, but I converted to Wicca then Neopaganism then Thelema. Now, I'm all 3 of those and more, because religion is only language... Language is not what it describes, but the object itself needs to be south beyond the constraints of language. (religion)

I left Christianity because there is absolutely no proof for it and I realized that the whole thing is based on a fable.
I converted to Hellenic Wicca. It's proven itself to me over and over again. That's proof enough for me.

I gave up being a catholic, even sent a letter to the local archdiocese stating that I no longer consider myself catholic. I converted to no religion. I became a freethinker. If you have to put a label Atheist.

My mother had me baptized a Catholic and sent me to CCD until I was 9. So, technically, I was Catholic. Now I'm an atheist. But I don't suppose it really counts when you're forced into religion as a child. The beliefs aren't really yours in that case; they're what you're told to believe.
I stopped accepting them.
