Wow...so many weird answers here...since the dead are dead and don't go to heaven and won't go to heaven until resurrection day...Enoch was the first to be translated to heaven...because he walked with God. The second to be translated was Elijah, and he did so on a whirlwind, and a fiery chariot...who knows what that would be called in modern days. According to other texts, Moses was allowed to enter heaven, then there were a bunch of folks who went to heaven when Jesus did...those who arose when He did. But from that time until this, no one else has gone to heaven. Jesus said He will not come to Earth again until the last day; when He takes the remaining righteous and the dead in Christ with Him.

Linedancer has it right. John 3:13 No one had gone to heaven in Jesus' day, but Jesus. At 1 timothy 6:16, only he had been given immortality and was the only one who'd gotten into heaven.
Acts 2:34 and Matthew 11:11 show that even King David did not go to heaven and that John the Baptist was not one of the heavenly class.
Those under Mosaic law come back to earth, not to heaven. They rule as princes, not kings. Psalm 45:16
The kings go to heaven at Jesus' second coming. They get out of the graves first. John 14:3, 1 Cor. 15;23, Rev. 20:4-6. The rest of the dead do not live until the 1,000 years. Rev. 20:5, Matthew 5:5, Isaiah 26:19-21, 33:24, 35 all.
I've seen those things and know religious history. Those who think things other than the above should grow a brain....then try to study the Bible.

Abel was the first person recorded in the Bible who died; but before Jesus' death, faithful servants of God who died was in "Abraham's Bosom" (Luke 16:22-23). Jesus went into the heart of the earth to free the slaves (Matthew 12:40).
Also, it is to note that Elijah was taken straight to Heaven without death (2 Kings 2:1). It could possibly be that Elijah was the first; but it is also notable that this "heaven" may have been the Hebrew word for "sky"; rather than the Heavenly Place, because John 3:13 says "No man hath ascended up to heaven but he that came down from heaven, ... the Son of Man."
It is hard to say, but probably Jesus because of John 3:13.
Note also that the dead won't rise until Christ's return. Even though they've been dead for a long time, it would feel like they just blinked.
I forgot about Enoch. He was "taken" to Heaven before Elijah.

Person?
Paul says: “Flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom ( 1 Cor 15:50) ... Other than angels that could go back and forth in pre christians times, no one other than Christ was the first Person to Re-enter Heaven.

Enoch was taken up first.
"Genesis 5:24 " Enoch walked with God: then he was no more, because God took him away."
Elijah was taken up to heaven in 2nd kings Chapter 2.
2 kings 2:11- " As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind."
Elijah was the second human to be taken up to haven as recorded in the Bible. Death had been likened to sleep. Even Jesus called Death sleep. Since Elijah didn't die, he was taken up to heaven. He never died. He was taken up. If at death people were taken up to heaven, then why would God go to all the trouble of using fire and horses? He could have smote him instantly (without pain) and just taken up the spirit like he had others..... If the dead actually went to heaven at that time. But they didn't. They were in the ground.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 " For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten."
The dead are still dead until the resurrection.

Depends on what you may consider Heaven, I see a few people that answered did not believe it exists, if you live without faith then you only live in fear.
According to the Bible - King James version; Enoch was the first, though there is the story in the book of Job where Lucifer went back into heaven to tempt God, but he is not actually a what you may call a person.
Actually the word "person" means one that carries a purse (a merchant, a money changer), so Enoch was not a "person".
Lets re-phase the question to:
who was the first man or woman to "enter or go back" to Heaven?
According to the Bible; before Jesus was resurrected all the souls of the people that died went into Hades (a waiting room for souls), it was Jesus that set them free to go into heaven, though Enoch was translated to heaven without seeing death, so was Elijah, so it seems that Enoch was the first, but we do not know how many times Jesus went back and forth or how many times Satan killed Adam or how many times God brought Adam back to life or if Adam went back to heaven each time he was killed.by Satan.
It is actually a question that cannot be answered because we don't have all the information.

*Debbie--you and the person you think got it right should examine everything written in the Bible, and check those verses Ver_jen quoted.

I believe it was like this:
when Jesus was crucified, there were two other guys crucified along with him that day--one on His left and one on His right. one of them was a thief and he recognized Jesus as being who He actualy was and said something to Him, can't remember what. and then Jesus told him that when the gates of Heaven will reopen he would be the first man to walk beside Him into His kingdom.
so I guess that was the first man to go to Heaven

Jesus. At John 3:13, he said: "Moreover, no man has ascended into heaven but he that descended from heaven, the Son of man."
