I have a few questions about this 'subject'. I don't want to say, recently found out I was attracted to both sexes because I've known of this for about two years now. I'm told my two best friends, and they're cool with it. And I tired to tell my mom but she almost freaked when I asked her what she thought of gays.

Basically, I want to know how young is too young to come out to your parents and family? (I'm fourteen btw)

Also...how should I bring up the general subject in order to tell my mom?

My neice just came out. She waited until she was 18 because the thought her parents would freak out. She was right. I don't know how they did not know. The rest of us suspected this. My teenage kids were not even surprised, they thought the same thing we did. You do not know how they are going to take it so if you really want to tell them, just spit it out. There really is not an easy way to do it. If you are not ready to deal with all of that I would wait. Since your mother freaked over that question I would say that this is not going to be easy for you. Good luck to you, I hope this all works out for the best for you.

omg don't tell your mother!!!! she will flip out and say over and over again, "what did i do wrong", or "was i that bad of a parent" look sister the parents don't need to know all that until you get a girlfriend. trust me on this one. i am 30 and went through that when i was 16. not to mention 14 is way not the right age to seriously decide that you want to be bi. ride it out for a few more years. there are many different things to look at before going and telling everyone. that is a very touchy subject for most people and there is no way to predict their reactions. and is it worth that type of attention at this point in your life?

IT'S BEEN REAL HARD FOR ME. I AM ATTRACTED TO BOTH SEXES AS WELL. MY CLOSE FRIENDS AS WELL AS A COUSIN KNOW. MY COUSIN SAID SHE HAS KNOWN EVRY SINCE I WAS A LITTLE KID WHEN I WOULD KISS ON AND PLAY HOUSE WITH OTHER GIRLS. I LEARNED T0 ACCEPT IT BUT UNLESS YOU HAVE PARENTS WHO ARE OPENED TO ANYTHING THERE IS NO EASY WAY OF TELLING HER
LOOK AT TILA TEQUILA SHE JUST SPILT HER **** ON NATIONAL TV. I MEAN IF THERE IS A SHOW ON OR A ARTICLE IN THE MAGAZINE BRING IT UP OR WATCH IT WITH YOUR MOM AND SEE HER POINT OF VIEW ON IT BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO TELL HER YOURSELF.

HOPED I HELPED AT LEAST A LITTLE

You are still so young. But you know what you know. Take your time with your emotions. You are still evolving into a young lady. I have a daughter, and she is IMO too young to date, so the same goes for you lol.
I would love and accept my daughter if she was Gay or Bi or whatever. Good luck honey.Always be honest with yourself.
