I am claiming for a stolen vehicle.

There is a sheet I need it fill called, Request to the Insured for consent to disclosure of information held by the police -

Is this for if I have endorsements on my licence (I don't?) or does everyone making a claim have to fill this in?

Also - when it asks for contents and value of contents what am I supposed to put? For example - my handbag was stolen which cost £400. I put £400 in Price Paid, but what do I put in 'Value' - do I put the same amount of decrease it a little due to depreciation?

Quite normal - they're just seeking information from the police report regarding the theft, basically to tally what you said to the police with what you said to them. Regarding the contents, they will be looking at putting you back "in the same position as you were before the theft", so if your handbag is worth now about £350 for instance, that would be the value you put in - in other words what it would cost you to buy another of the same age & condition. Don't forget to claim for anything else of value, such as cash in your handbag.

Nothing to worry about the police will not disclose the details held to an insurer without your permission. This will be the report you gave them when the car was stolen. I would leave the value of your bag blank or put 3400 in it. you are not an expert and they wil not pay £400 on it but you can haggle a bit

The disclosure is for information held by the police in relation to the theft of the vehicle only, nothing to worry about it is standard procedure.

they need information about the car and statements given, their actions etc about this. ie has it been recovered, was it locked etc.the police cannot comment on anything until you consent to this
as for handbag, i would be putting down the cost to replace the said item
