The test is real simple. Just give an answer to the following question.

How many grains of sand were on the beach of Hawaii December 15, 2007 at 3:15 PM.

To be a true atheist you must have absolute knowledge that there is no God. So since you cannot answer this question, doesn’t that mean you are not “sure” of the existence of God. So how can you be an atheist if you do not have absolute knowledge?

My question boils down to this:

Who can you believe there is no God if you do not have absolute knowledge there is no God?

are you for real? one has nothing to do with the other. what does the knowledge of the existence of a supposed god have to do with the # of grains of sand, which by the way, does have a value, I just dont know what it is. Just like I dont know how many automobiles there are in the world, but there are automobiles, there is no god

So I take it god told you the right answer.

Because if you do not know then you are not a true theist, because to be a true theist you must have absolute knowledge that there is a god.

So since you cannot answer this question, doesn’t that mean you are not “sure” of the existence of God. So how can you be a theist if you do not have absolute knowledge?

One fool can still ask more questions than a thousand wise men can answer.

It does not stop them being wiser than him, or him from being a fool.

everyone is an atheist. You are an atheist also to some one who believe in islam. Most christian were atheist until some one open their eyes. I am not say there is no god , I am say I have not seen any proof there is a god. that is where faith comes in. I do not have faith in a book that written by man. Instead of try to trick or ridicule people, just pray to god to make himself vision to all men eyes and their hearts.

To be a true atheist I must not believe in any higher powers, without proof. That makes me a true atheist.

Your 'test' is rather silly. I do not need knowledge of "no god", just as I don't need knowledge of "no pink bowl of chicken noodle soup Goddess", to know she doesn't exist.

Can you be absolutely sure that Zeus doesn't exist? Or are you an atheist towards Zeus as well?

Face it, I only deny one more god than you do. With all the 10,000s of gods out there, we're not that different. I just deny one more than you do.

I don't remember atheists saying they're absolutely sure of anything - just that they haven't seen any evidence of god. They don't accept the Bible as the direct word of god because even student study bibles admit that no one knows who authored some of the books and we know that the NT was written after the death of Christ and not by anyone who ever met him.

Atheist usually say if they see logical evidence of a god, any god, then they'd willingly believe.

Actually it just boils down to

Do you believe in any gods?

a) Yes - you are not an atheist

b) No - you are an atheist.

It's as simple as that. The probability of a fictional being existing does not bare any relevance to me as I do not buy into the belief around it.

Atheism means no belief in God. Let us turn your question around-without true absolute knowledge of the universe, how do you know 'God' isn't a trick played on humans by powerful aliens? Does that mean there are no theists?

Please define "beach".

"Some geologists consider a beach to be merely a shoreline feature of deposited material, but William Bascom (1980) has argued that a beach is the entire system of sand set in motion by waves to a depth of ten meters (30+ feet) or more off ocean coasts...

The sand deposit may extend well inland...Where wind is the force distributing the grains inland, the deposit behind the beach becomes a dune.

The line between beach and dune is difficult to define in the field..."

I may not know the answer to that question. But I can tell you that Hawaii exists, and sand exists. The same can not be said about god.

Don't be dumb.

We define atheism as a lack of a belief in a deity. Anyone who does not believe in a deity is an atheist. That is all.

That means that in regards to specific religions we can claim them to be false if they are irrational or contradicted by the evidence. But for the idea of deities in general, must remain agnostic on a knowledge level, meaning we are atheistic in a belief level.
