Na, we still have all of TN to fill up. Going to take awhile to fill up the back woods. /grin.

Though the answer is yes, we can in America reach immigration overload. The system can only function for so long before it just melts down.

You could slowly add one person to your household over the next few days. This will show you how the system will fall apart. Each day over the course of say 30 days will force you to change the locks. Just look at shelters that we have in major cities. They allow so many before the doors are shut.

UPDATE $$$$$$$It would be really nice to know why I got a thumbs down. It is not like I was talking bad about immigrants.

Was reached this stage about 15 to 20 years ago here in CA

Nowadays LA is full, the INS has an endless backlog, schools are exploding, rush hour is most of the day, our streets look like the 3rd world, food quality has declined (mass production, pesticides) to meet the demand of so many people

Yes and in my humble opinion it was reached a long time ago.

Last time I checked Texas is a part of the United States, but everywhere I go, I see Spanish. Something is seriously wrong when that happened.

We already have. 300,000,000 is TOO MANY PEOPLE; most of the land west of the Mississippi is arid and can't support people with out snowfall in the mountains. Well, gee, the same lands have been suffering from serious droughts for quite a few years. And now Georgia has a water shortage; one of the wettest states! No water, no crops, no livestock! Think of it!

to all respondents- your convervative douchebaggery borders on bigotry. Immigration may be hurting our country in ways, but there is no cultural deficiency associated with the individuals who emigrate, arriving here within in U.S. borders.

Also, population increase may not be the best thing for our society but it is self-supporting. Also it will occur whether or not we crack down on immigration laws because regular old Americans love to reproduce.
