Not the whole truth, but do you think each religion provides at least a little bit of the truth here and there? After all, from what I've heard, many religions teach the same things, and have a generally well-known miracle-maker and prophet. Was the Bible not the only book with a savior?

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the father but by me."

You can't handle the truth!

No, sorry, there can only be but one truth.
Jesus is the whole truth. There is no other truth.
If it is part of a truth, it is not true.

I believe that many, although not all, religions have some of the truth and that no religion has the whole truth.

However, your last statements wander into very murky territory. Only Christianity offers a savior of the type it offers. And while many religions teach some similar things, these similarities are often not the core beliefs of the religions, so lets not overstress the importance of similarities. Besides, just because multiple religions suggest the same idea does not prove that particular idea is right. It might just mean that lots and lots of people are wrong. Prophets also have a very wide variety of roles in different religions, as are miracle-making. I would be hard pressed to equate such varied figures with figures from other religions. Again, you also have to ask whether these are central to the religion.

Great Question ka'eo!
I would definitely agree that most religions have bits of truth. Adam was the first man and he past on a knowledge of the truth to his children. As his posterity spread, pieces of this truth were kept, lost, or tweeked. I believe that is why there are so many religions that have so many similarities.
The question then becomes...
Which religion contains all truth?

actuality has certainly been preserved - all you like is a King James Bible whic we as an organised faith OBEY all of it, not purely the bits that are convienient. Seeing as God created each thing inclusive of Adam & Eve. God gave His faith to this pair, and then more suitable & accelerated on it down contained in direction of the a while by skill of the patriarchs, prophets, judges, kings of the Hewrews, then the Jews, to His Son Jesus. subsequently Christianity is the tip results of the OLDEST and unique faith of ALL advent. Hermeticism, Zorastranism and all the 'different religions' have been invented by using devil to maintain you from getting to understand the certainty.

Yep... and the scripture agrees. Just be sure that you understand that salvation cannot be realized by these "truths' that the world understands..

Example 1 from Romans 2

"...for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) "

Example 2 from Acts 17 (Paul quoting the Greeks poets to make his case for Christ...point...they understodd things about the truth)

"for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.'"

Anyway, I could go on and will be happy to do so as the dodos join in...the bottom line is that salvation is of our Lord, Jesus Christ and comes no other Way...

I don't know of each single religion. But as of the religions I know, yes. I see plenty of things to agree upon in each (big or small). To me it enforces the idea that we have the same root, the God of our father Adam. It's people who created differences.

If you looked at people who say "Jesus is the truth" just for example, you would see they themselves have many differences in their beliefs among themselves.

Nope...The Holy Bible and The Torah are the only two historical documents which hold the whole, unvarnished, in your face truth of Almighty God and Jesus Christ and the free gift offer and plan of salvation.

Others include snippets or so-called "creative license" parallels in an attempt to validate their man-made belief systems and recorded writings, but each of them are ALL man-inspired, ONLY The Holy Bible and The Torah are God-given and God-inspired.

BIG difference.

Most religions have an element of truth. There are two ways to deceive people. One is to tell a lie so big that it is unbelievable and they will believe it or to tell mostly truth and throw in a little bit of untruth. That way it is like rat poison - 99% good, edible food, but it's the 1% that is killer.

Jesus - He is in a class all by Himself there is no other...

Acts 4 : 12 - Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.....

So my answere would be no all religions do not hold truths...

There is only one truth so we do not get confused and blown about like a leaf in the wind ...God's word be grounded in it :)
Good question.....~Leah.....

Religions were designed to keep you from getting the truth. Religions seperate people. We are all infinite consciousness. The power elite of this world believe in divide and concour. Infinite Love unites us.
Our leaders and religious leaders dont want us to know that we are all connected, they want you to think this bunch of people are bad and find ways to keep us hating each other.
LOVE EVERYONE!
