You don't request them now, but ask that if and when he passes if he will leave them to you.

He may have remarried but that doesn't mean he didn't love your mom and that he still cherishes having those reminders of her.

Ask him. If he has already remarried, then he may have already disposed of a lot of her personal posessions. Some of the ones he may have kept around may be the ones he is keeping in case YOU asked for them.
You will never know until you ask.

Just let him know that you would really appreciate having your mother's things. The reason for this would be to have some sort of connection to the woman who gave birth to you. It will allow you to have some closure in your life.

You might want to say to him (privately of course)...
Daddy, if there's ever a time you are ready to let some of my mother's things go, I would very much like to have them."
It's very likely he's kept them because since you never knew her, he may not realize how much they mean to you.
I never knew my mother either and I empathize with you. It leaves such a big hole in your life, doesn't it?
