YES! That is unfair. But let me ask you...are you the older brother??

My brother graduated high school with a 1.2 G.P.A. and also got arrested by the police for underage drinking. My parents paid the fine and never grounded him or toke him to a tutor for his grades.

Myself on the other hand graduated with a 3.9 GPA and never been in trouble with the police. And yet, I was abused and grounded many of times. It's because I'm not the baby.

Trust me, in life, it's a good thing in what they are doing with the whole school thing. Because I graduated college and have a great job. My brother on the other hand, failed out and is living at home.

The whole "sigh" thing is harsh. You need to sit your parents down and tell them this is unfair punishment. And if they ground you over that...tell them "no". Because you did absolutely nothing wrong and you were having a mature conversation about the punishments they give you.

Good luck with this. Your parents do need to see that they are being VERY harsh!

The sighing is showing attitude and lack of respect. Don't sigh and do it. A little hard on the other items. I will say that being a parent myself parents tend to be harder on the girls. Deep down they just want you to succeed. Believe me!! Things have changed in the world but some things haven't. Enjoy these years as much as you think its a pain. Remember don't sigh and shock your parents!!! P.S. Rolling the eyes is a grounder too.

This is something you should talk to them about. I don't think they are trying to be unfair.. Being a parent isn't easy.. Sometimes we make mistakes to and we don't know everything. They may just expect more from you because your old or because they know you can do it. However, if its making you feel this way you need to bring it to their attention. Discuss the way the difference in rules for you and your brother make you feel and ask them if they could go a little easier or at least make his rules a little stricter. GOOD LUCK!!
And keep in mind, if they didn't love you , they wouldn't set any rules..

yeah... it sounds like their being really unfair to you! first off how old are you??
... but sit down with them and maybe establish rules that would be put in place for you AND your brother. that way you won't feel like your being singled out as much. tell them how you feel, maybe they will see that you are more mature if you can discuss the topic with them...
