In India , under the Hindu Marriage Act,1955 & under the Special Marriage Act,1954 there is a provision that prevent marriage between close blood relatives who are covered under the degree of prohibited relationship. Any marriage between two people who are covered under this degree of prohibited relationship will be void marriage in the eye of law & will also be bad medically for the future progeny borne out of such marriage. In this case we have to see whether the marriage between you & your mother's sister's daughter's daughter is covered under this DEGREE OF PROHIBITED RELATIONSHIP or not. For that here is the list of such degree of prohibited relationship :- Mother.
Father’s widow (step mother).
Mother’s mother.
Mother’s father’s widow (step grand-mother).
Mother’s mother’s mother.
Mother’s mother’s father’s widow (step great grand-mother).
Mothers’s father’s mother.
Mother’s father’s father’s widow (step great grand-mother).

Daughter.

Sister.

Brother’s daughter.
Mother’s sister.

Explanation – For the purposes of this Part, the expression "widow" includes a divorced wife.

In your case this woman is not covered under this list of prohibited relationship hence you can legally marry her either according to the Hindu Marriage Act or under the Special Marriage Act & in both the cases it will be a valid marriage. Best Of luck! I wait for your marriage's Misti.

Premarital, extramarital or unwed sexual activities are not barred / prohibited and are offences Indian law. Generally in Hindu customs of Tamilnadu (including Gavara Naidu), one can marry mother's brother or father's sisters daughter/son. But father's brother and Mother's sister daughter are to be treated as sisters. Any violation in such a custom will result in lot of resentment in your community and family. The love you are talking about may just be puppy love. In the intrest of better family relations, I would like you to give up the idea.

There must be a shortage of women, since you are looking to a blood relative for marriage. The world is populated enough to the fact that you should be able to find someone outside your bloodline. And what of any children to this union, they are in danger of crossed blood lines, meaning you could have a deformed or retarded child. My advice to you my friend keep searching, there is a good match out there for you. And think of your niece, she deserves a fair chance in life.

Dn't go for such marriages unless u both love each other so much...and get urself mentally prepared to face the consequences ur child may have to face....there is more chance of genetic disorders..

I reccomend not to go for such a marriage bcoz in case (may it not happen) the baby has a problme, whole life u both will feel bad and guilty about urself about the baby..

If u r so particular in marrying her,go ahead...pray well...god will bless u

Your aunt's daughter's daughter is not your niece. It is your first cousin once removed. (she is your cousin's daughter) She is still your relative though and in my opinion it is too close on the family tree. You can end up with children with serious genetic defects. Don't do it.

Culturally, u can marry her. But Only if ur parents have vouched that u will marry her as some Reason for past deeds or u r in deep love with her.

Speaking medically, It is not advicable to marry close relatives. And it is Indian Heritage that we look for brides outside our Families in most cases.

She would technically be your 2nd cousin. If your culture allows you to marry within the family than fine, just be aware of consequences if you both decide to bear children, they might have birth defects.

I don't see why not... Leaving aside the legal and genetic problems you're going to find. But then, it's a free country, and we are somewhere on the road to being a progressive society. And who knows, some day, in a twisted way, you might be considered a pioneer...

in other words, you share dna on your mother's side. this isn't recommended because of common blood line. if there is a recessive gene, it could be doubled and come out as a birth defect or retardation in your children
