I'm talking about no weaves, or perms and all that..... Do you think African-American natural curly black hair is beautiful? If so why? :D

All well cared for hair looks beautiful to me - African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Caucasian.
As an ex- cancer patient, who was bald from December 04 to July 05, all hair is great and any day with hair is a good hair day!
PS: when I worked Neonatal Intensive Care, all the nurses would carefully doll up the black babies hair in curls - then their moms would come in and smash their hair flat!

I'm with you on this. It is for sure that many Blacks are still not as proud of themselves and their features as they should be. I and my niece have been turned away from Black owned and run hair salons because of our natural hair on different occasions and at different salons. And the people that did so didn't see anything wrong with that either! I mostly wear my hair natural although I sometimes texturize it for convenience. I have heard many Black women talk about so-called good and bad hair and it makes me sad. We've come a long way but there's a much longer road ahead for many of us. Good question.

I honestly don't know why it matters to you what people think about your 'natural' hair. It really doesn't matter. You can't live for other people. You have to do what you feel is right and best for you to do period. I hope your self esteem goes up really high. You seem to have low self esteem.

I only like it when it's well taken care of, it doesn't need to be permed or anything special but it does have to look healthy and then it looks beautiful to me.

Absolutely! I have always loved the little curls that looked like they were wrapped around a pencil. I also think afros and afro puffs are sooo cute! It shouldn't matter what your "color" is. Beauty is beauty.
