There is no such thing as last minute deals. If you go to web sites that advertise them you will get a price that may seem less but is not; you will likely get an offer of one of the least desirable cabins on ship.. Most cruises book up early and those last minute things are usually cabins that cruise wholesalers have blocked out to sell and are looking for someone at the last minute.
The best prices can be obtained on cruises only if you book very very early and that means 9 to 12 months before the sale date in most cases. You also have to go on the dates and itineraries when the price is the lowest. The cruise lines all have web sites that they will include a link to their specials. So just go to the web sites for Carnival, Royal Caribbean or Norwegian and look for a link to their specials. Be flexible, consider going on the dates when the price is the lowest and also consider going on a 3, 4, or 5 day cruise. As you shop for specials remember that inside cabin are always the cheapest and outside and balcony cabin will always cost more.

I hear of lots of last minute deals others get and have signed up on lots of sites. You are correct you have to sort through a lot of stuff to find a "deal" and usually it's on a ship that either has not filled or it's a room next to the engine. I think Vacations to Go may be the best overall. But, if you have some time, pick your itinerary and then go to cruisecompete.com. You post your itinerary and you get competing bids from different agencies on the itinerary you have chosen. I have gotten bids that varied by a couple of hundred dollars using that source. You can also request a price for insurance, airfare and hotels as part of the package. Happy cruising.

Hi,
The only real cruise deals are found off line.
Most on-line cruise players buy the same inventory from one provider .(the pages even load the same)
To get a real deal you need to negotiate your best deal over the phone or via email.
I've been in the travel business for over 20 years and you are correct about the "CRAP" ! Web sites that promise the world and and don't preform.
If you are still looking around let me know if i can help.
I offer a no frills no BS cruise company. Just the lowest cruise fares that I can offer.
I still can't figure out why these On-line guys also charge you between 19 and 50 bucks to take your credit card.
Good Luck and Happy Holidays!

It can seem that way when you're looking for a bargain deal that what's offered in the strap line isn't what you actually get at the checkout.
I went on my first cruise last summer and used cruise.co.uk, as they are supposed to be the UK's leading supplier of discount cruise holidays. I managed to get a holiday for two at a decent price, and when compared to similar holidays from other agents, it was slightly cheaper. Once you get past the homepage which has quite a few spammy looking links, there's some really good holidays on offer.
Good luck!

Cruises are for families with kids who never go out and therefore they find cruises to be the ultimate fun. If you are well traveled, if you know about good restaurants, if you attend the symphony, ballet or theatre, you will find yourself stuck in a ship trying to convince yourself that you are having fun and also putting up with little children running around or a bunch of "cool" teenagers everywhere. If you fall in the category that I describe at the beginning then you will have fun. I thinks it's better to fly and stay at a beach resort.

I just got a cruise after lots of inquiries. I think Cruise Compete.com is the best. But research what you want in advance - then you enter your cruise info. Then wait 1-2 days and you will get a bunch of "offers" by email. Look carefully at all, read the details, then contact the 1 or 2 you think are best.
