Yes.
** The only time you salute with your left hand when able to do so with the right, is if your nation was defeated in military battle and had surrendered.
It was meant to denote that you had been defeated and no longer presented a threat. Though when the war would end, those defeated would convert back to right hand salutes.

while there is no military provision stating to salute with the left hand under any circumstances. It is an unspoken rule that if you salute with the left because of an injury most if not all superiors will salute back without question

Yes - I had to use my Left arm to salute for just under a year when I injured my right...

All members are to salute with the right hand unless physically unable to do so, in which case they are to salute with the left hand. ... I hope this helps
