I live in California and there is no snow in the part of California that I live. However Mammoth Mountain a great place to snowboard in California has a base of 20-25 inches currently.

It never snows here in major parts of India. How nice it would be to be amongst the snow. We have to make lot of efforts and spend a lot if we have see snow.

Calgary is on the dry side of the Rockies. We've gotten maybe 2-3 inches so far this winter, most of it is already gone. But Banff, which is only a couple of hours NW in the middle of the mountains, got 80 cm in one day a few weeks ago.

No snow yet this year.
There used to be heavy snows last year, have even been deep to our knee.
But ...
I miss the heavy snows when i was young. :(
