I have a 1yr old male cat. he has been neutered. He has all his shots up to date. He is drooling heavely, dry heaving, acting lethargic & his eye balls are slightly twitching. The vet will not see him untill tomorrow.
In June I had to put down my best friend shortly after having the same symptoms. The two have never been in the house @ the same time. Fatters(1st Kitty) had all the same symptoms & we ended up taking him to 2 vets. Both did blood work & X-rays & said they could find nothing. One sugested fatters had gotten into some poison outside. The next day he had what seemed like a seziure. Again the vet did not know. He sugested it was somthing nerological. After the seziure fatters could not walk or sit up without falling over. It was as if he had drinken a pint of whiskey. A month latter we had him put down.
Oct we got Tice Kitty He has had all his shots, is neutered.
but a little over weight hes never been outside. What is happening? Im scared the Vet wont know again.HELP

I can tell you if this were my cat, he would be going to the ER right now. Do you have an animal ER near you?

Since this has happened before, it does make me suspicious of a toxin. However, you need to help out the vet with some leads... do you have any plants in the house? Some houseplants are potentially poisonous. Rat/bug/snail bait? Does he ever go into the garage? Can he get into household cleaning products?

Unfortunately, doctors aren't psychic. We often cannot diagnose a particular toxin without any history of exposure, especially with signs so vague. There are a lot of things that could cause what you are describing; give your vet as much information as you can to help hint at what this could be. Good luck.

It's time to start looking around at the environment where both cats have lived. Sahlamere's got you going on the right track: houseplants, cleaning supplies...take a very close look at anything they could get into.

Also, flea collars are highly toxic and many cats can be poisoned by them. You don't state whether your cats have had flea collars or another type of preventative. I should mention that Advantage and Frontline are good products, but some cats cannot tolerate Revolution and have a reaction like what you describe.

I hate to mention it, but have you considered that someone may be deliberately poisoning your cats? I know it's a long shot, but when you're searching so hard for answers you sometimes have to consider every angle. For what it's worth...

Also agree with Bek.

Not that your kitty doesn't look like he's poisoned though: Is there a chance he got into some kind of rat poison?

In all seriousness, you need to take your cat to a knowledgeable vet. There are any number of things that could be wrong, from poisoning to stroke.

If you have to drive that 100 miles to find one that's able to help, it may be worth your kitty's life to do it.

Now, you might find a vet help line in your local phone book.

Good luck!

Yes, make certain that your kitty will get to the vet, however I had the equal obstacle with my little one woman while she used to be younger! We took her to the vet and the surgeon mentioned she had a horrible case of worms, and that makes cat's appetites and power stages move down. You can get a wormer medication, and it is going to depart instantly. Also, you cat would simply have the flu of a few style- however it is not us in order to let you know the first-rate: it's your vet. Best of success!
