What do Christians hurt by believing in God, that makes atheists so angry?

They don’t fear you believing in God, they fear the actions of SOME Christians insistence that those beliefs be forced on them ...public schools is a prime example

Doesn't bother me that you believe in God...just don't tell me I have to believe it too:)

EDIT for Que Bella: What a fine, upstanding example of a Christian you are, sweetie. You haven't the foggiest idea what hardships I have endured. Your skin would crawl and mess up your pretty little face. Do you really think that attitude is going to get you a prime spot in "Heaven"? Yet another "role model" I don't want to follow...why on Earth would I want to share the beliefs that make you act like that toward your fellow human beings???

It isn't YOUR belief...you could worship the lint in your bellybutton for all I care. But it's the way religion has hijacked society and is making our children dumber by the day. If there was a god, then why didn't he create money with in god we trust already on it. Instead it took 100 years after the creation of the US for a communist scare and mccarthyism to put it on there. It's the orgnization of religion that is dangerous to society, albeit your belief is an enabler.

I wouldn't classify myslef as atheist, but as long as they don't hurt me (by trying to pound scripture in my head, or trying to get me to hate perfectly good people) then they are hurting no one.
When you go around telling people that they are going to hell for this and that, then they are hurting others. The mere belief in god hurts no one. Its those damn "soldiers" that run around pointing and judging that give Atheist a dislike toward them.

Simply believing in God hurts no one, but letting those beliefs influence law and politics corrupts society and oppresses those who believe differently.

I respect your right to believe in God.....or anything else you want to believe in.

You hurt no one by believing. You destroy freedoms when you apply your belief to the political system. Stop bringing religion into politics and you'll see a lot fewer atheists complaining.

I could not care less about what you believe. I do however care when what you believe is forced on those of us who do not.

Pretending not to notice Christians' bad behavior is pretty dishonest of you, kid.
Doesn't the fact that you people have to lie like this so much to defend your beliefs tell you something about the quality of those beliefs? It should.
