i want to loose 15-20 pounds starting January 1st.
i will eat healthy and exersize atleast 4 times a week.
how long should this take me?

honestly it depends on the types of exercises and kind of diet you are on. Eating healthy is great but you need to watch your fat and carb intake. Research a little cause i'm not sure of the exact numbers but certain percentages of your diet need to be carbs, veggies, dairy, fats. Also you may want to find out what your daily recommended caloric intake is average is 2000 but you may be different depending on how active you are. use that number and subtract 500-750 calories and only eat that per day. you should also do moderate cardio and strength training. following this the right way(not cheating) should put you loosing the weight at around 3-7 weeks depending on you of course. best of luck

The diet is the most important part. The exercises will help speed up your metabolism and tone your body. I'd give it no less then 8 to 10 weeks. I lost 15 in seven weeks but I was training hard and eating right. Eat healthy small meals all during the day. Make a protein shake twice and count it as a meal. Eat something every three hours as long as you're awake. Don't skip breakfast, but make it low fat. Egg Beater eggs, fat free cottage cheese with a cup of sliced peaches, 2 pieces of wheat toast with 6 oz of orange juice. That's a good powerful breakfast that's filling, but has almost no fat. Three hours later have a chicken breast and a cup of brown rice and maybe a small sweet potato. Remember a portion is what fits in the palm of your hand.
You've got to stay with it. Don't step on the scale but once every two weeks.
Train hard, eat right and you'll like what you see.
