Im gonna be buying a used cody of windows vista in a couple days. The seller says its from london drugs and has been installed on his computer before and then uninstalled. For it to be installed, the cdkey obviously has already been used. A friend of mine said it would work as long as i have the cd key and password. So my question is, could i still install his used windows vista on my computer even though the cd key has already been used on his computer ? And also if it doesnt work, would i be able to call microsoft and ask for a new cdkey with no charge, or with charge ? and how much would it be.

please let me know, i would appreciate your help.

you dont need worry about it. It is really very simple matter. Actually you are paying for cdkey not actually for the windows vista sofware cauz you can get the software from anywhere but not the cdkey. cdkey is the most important thing and you getting that. cdkey always work doesn't matter where do you use it when you use and how many times you using it.

The CD-Key will not be able to function properly if it has been used.

Micro$oft never gives anything for free especially CD-Keys unless they see that the CD-Key has never been used and it isn't functioning properly.

Sorry man, you going to need to purchase another Key. =[

With XP, you most likely able to reinstall, with Vista, chances are slim, once installed and activated, trying to do it again is going to be very difficult.
