No not really. Christmas is a Religious Holiday as well as being a commercial Holiday that is celebrated all over the world. For Catholics, It is not Christmas Season. It is actually Advent now. But if someone says Merry Christmas to me, I smile and say Happy Holidays.

i say merry christmas and happy holidays. I've told some Jewish friends Happy Hanukkah. But really, nobody I know cares which greeting i use around them. People shouldn't get offended if someone is wishing them a good holiday. People wouldn't say it to each other unless they were trying to be friendly.

God invented all the people who attempt to be politically correct. And he also made all the people who do not care about political correctness. I say Merry Christmas openly hoping that the person I say it to will really have a great time celebrating the birth ( even if it isnt actually on that date for all those politically correct atheists out here ) of Jesus the Christ... and if they do not care about Jesus birth? So? I hope they have a good time anyway.

A true Christian can see right through the abominations of the pagan holiday, read revelations, How God is sending an angel to warn people of Babylon and her fornication's, Christmas is a lie, santa is a lie, Jesus has no part with the works of darkness, he neither was in Christmas, nor will he ever be, it is a season of much drunkenness, materialism, gluttony, malice, bitterness. Why do you think schools let Christmas in. or Governments not separate it from church and state. because the world loves it's own, pray to God, if you will let God be real to you, he will let you know he has no part in it. some people say they don't worship the tree, they only use it for decor, notice why kids get down on their knee to get their gifts ? notice why santa features resemble the appearance of God in Revelation. and just look at these atheist, they try to disprove God because their parents lied to them of a santa. God is real, and those that worship him must worship him in truth.

In general, the Christians I know wish everybody "Happy Holidays" to avoid being politically incorrect.
All my Jewish, Muslim, Hindu Sikh, Buddhist and others who are not Christians wish everybody a "Merry Christmas". I think it's really funny.

It should be about the spirit of the season. I've never really been around but a few people who didn't say Merry Christmas! As such it really doesn't cross my mind to think if they are Jewish.I do come across Muslim's in my town alot. I don't say it to them. I assume they don't do Christmas.

i think it's simply the season. the spirit to consider. I have no problem saying merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, etc. etc. to anyone. I think it's just one of those things, like someone else said before me, if that's a big issue, then both sides have too much time on their hands. ;) I don't mind someone saying 'Merry Christmas' to me, it doesn't bother me that they're not saying 'Happy Yule'....
happy holidays (that's all inclusive!!) :)

I'm an atheist and I like Christmas. When I lived in Nepal, I celebrated the Hindu holidays.

Jesus's birthday isn't December 25. 25th was an important date for Roman culture and stuff so they just decided to "fit it in". Since it's technically not his birthday, who cares? I'm an atheist, but I enjoyed Christmas due to Santa's presents and pretty poinsettias.
It's just almost like a culture. You don't have to be a Christian to enjoy Christmas.

I couldn't care less about the whole "Happy Holiday's" vs. "Merry Christmas" thing. I think both side have too much time on their hands if that is a major issue.
