Did you boil it long enough to dissolve the sugar?
If not, there's no going back. Sorry. I love making fudge, but I always get so worried that I won't let it boil long enough.

Sorry about your fudge. Is it raining or snowing where you're at? I find that fudge doesn't like to set up when there's too much moisture in the air. I do have great luck with our peanut butter fudge. It's never come out runny - and never dry either. I linked that if you want a fudge recipe that's pretty sure to work right every time.

I don't think so. Try sticking it in the refrigerator or the freezer. If it is soft but not completely liquid that may harden it enough to get by with. I have done that with some success before with my marshmallow fudge recipe when it didn't quite get as hard as I wanted.

I think you may need to re-read your recipe. I just made fudge this afternoon, and my recipe says to pour it into a pan after boiling, and let stand at room temperature for 4 hours, then I can cut it. Does yours not say to put into a pan?

No, too late. And if you made a double batch of cookies, would you bake them for twice the amount of time called for in the recipe?! I surely hope not!

Just quit calling it fudge. Call it "ice cream topping!"
