for the issue of BB and pellet guns I look at it like this: Pellet Guns are used for hunting,so they are hunting.A lot of kids can't use or have real firearms, and all they have is their BB guns (If they are lucky).Instead of snapping at them for not posting on the toy forums,I think we should be a little more welcoming. They are the new generation,so we can't screw them up.Sorry,Didn't mean to go off on a tangent.

I would not have a problem with it. Could we get rid of the trolls that way?

People block me and answer my questions. I find that funny so I ask them about it and they tell me that I should block people. What?? No thanks, I'd like to think: - I have a thicker skin than that, - I try not to hold grudges, and - I'll rationally/maturely compromise or agree to disagree. (I'd also like to think that I'm not so much of a douchebag that people have to block me, but oh well.) I think the Devils will be one of the first teams eliminated if they end up playing the Rangers. They haven't done well against them this season. Lundqvist has been awesome this regular season and I thought he looked solid in the playoffs last season. As always, there's a chance Brodeur could play well enough to steal the series, but we'll see if the Devils can generate the offense they need to.

Hunting is for Hunters.* If you are a Hunter you are also a Shooter.* If you are a Hunter you are also a Target Shooter.* If you are a Hunter you probably also shot a BB or Pellet Gun at some point.* If you are a Hunter you may also be a Veteran with Military and weapons experience.* We would not have a problem with PETA or TROLLS or Animal Rights Activists or Vegetarians if we Hunters did not respond to their questions, or feel any need too answer them.* We could just simply ignore them, which is the best approach.* There is no point or Future in engaging them.* Why do some of us feel we have to defend, explain, apologize or justify our participation in the beloved Sport of Hunting?* Just ignoring them in my view is the best approach.* Do not take their Bait.* Let them rant and rave all they want, but ignore them.*

As I am a target shooter not a hunter, I too looked for a straight gun forum but there was none. I would like to put my target shooting experiences to the test hunting but it's quite a drive here to the game and permits, licenses, and here you have to enter a lottery for bird/duck season for who goes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on. It's such a hassle that's probably why I've never done it. I am envious of those of you who can walk or drive 10 or 15 minutes out your back door and be shooting. Just to go target shooting without rules or supervision is a long drive out to the desert. There should be a gun forum but this works for me I've already benefited from it.

That is the fault of Yahoo because they are scared of the word "gun" or "shooter" as opposed to the word "hunting" (it reminds them of Elmer Fudd). As a handgun enthusiast and range shooter I believe that "our" sector (range shooting using any gun) of gun ownership is rising above the traditional hunter sector. We are all one family (sport or defense) but populations and activities are shifting. However, the hunting heritage is inportant because it deals with enviromental issues and land access. No gun owner should be left behind or denied legitimacy.

I like it, I think there should be a Firearms section just so people can be educated and learn the myths and facts about firearms.

To me I look at it like this. If it has anything to do with guns or hunting I am golden. Let the questions and answers fly.

I feel that this forum ( hunting ) should be for people to discuss issues referring, to REAL WEAPONS, be it REAL guns or archery equipment.

I consider BB, PELLET & AIRSOFT guns, as toys.

A kid educater me on that earlier, HE tole be that a BB gun, wasn't a toy, because it had a label on the carton, that said it was for use, by people over the age of 17. WOW, I was really humbeled by that information.

THEY ARE STILL TOYS & there is a forum for them

Other-Outdoor Recreation

while writing this, i receined a notice, that i violated community standards, by telling this kid, that BB & PELLET guns, are toys.
I guess his ego is bruised

OK...First let me finish my tofu and cucumber sandwich and give my fluffy itty bitty foo foo bunny a big warm hug....

Now...I agree...Plus I think that perhaps we can treat the BB gun owners as if they were dealing with firearms....Isn't that how most of us learned about gun safety? With our first Robin killin, match stick shooting Daisey?

I'm with you Harry.

I used to get irritated at the airsoft questions, but came to understand that they are kindred spirits of sorts and actually quite harmless.

And we CAN get rid of the trolls, if everyone reports them.
(I get my questions kicked out of the Global Warming section all the time, it works!)

I couldn't care more either way. I also would like people to stop being so arrogant just because someone uses an airgun to hunt. I also would like to see bow hunters stop acting better than gun hunters.
