try to loosen up.
alot of people get really nervous. and they act all serious. and the guy gets really tense. and pressured.

just relax. make him laugh. and just start a convo before you ask him.

just ask --- once is enough and it will not look desperate ---- it happened to me --- i was asked out by a lady

DON'T ACT AWKWARD. Just be yourself. Crack a few jokes, and don't be too serious about it!!
