If I am to attend a military academy/join a ROTC program, will I then become an active duty military member? In which case, can I become emancipated from my parents? (I am 17 years old).

not everyone who attends the Academies or ROTC is offered a Commission.

you are NOT considered AD until you accept a Commission, so until you are 18, you are a minor. at 18, you no longer are considered such and can legally do as you please..to include enlisting, attending an Academy or particpating in ROTC.

you do not become an active duty military member by joining ROTC. and you need your parents signature to join before you are a legal adult

If you are in an ROTC program, you are not in the military until you complete it. So no, you will not be emancipated.

i'm confident you already know your assertion has a tendency to stereotype. we are going to overlook that as i'm confident you're speaking with reference to the minutia of interactions you have on a given day. the respond you seek for isn't the respond on your question. you opt to correlate their habit with their visual allure. whilst in fact the respond is the comparable for the two unattractive women treating perfect women poorly and perfect women treating much less perfect women poorly. What somebody looks like does not propose A rattling project, its what's interior that counts. Hate, jealousy, cruelty and meanness would not CARE what's on the exterior to exist. those human failings exist in simple terms fantastic interior of every person. in case you're even slightly interested in changing issues, LEAD via occasion.

If your parents don't sign a release you might be waiting til your 18 for paperwork to be pushed through. Just hang tight and get a signed release from your parents if they wont 18 is right around the corner.
