And that New Zealand scientist thing is real. I bet their wouldn't even be 100 climate scientists living in new zealand they only have like 5 million people or less living their. I think it would have made the news in Australia or New Zealand or at leased on FOX.

Yes, not much indeed. I live in Thailand, which is the number one greenhouse gas emitting nation in Asia (per capita). At the conference the Thai delegates contributed nothing, suggested nothing and announced nothing upon their return. In fact they attended for nothing. Hybrid vehicles are not promoted in Thailand. I've never seen one on the road in 7 years. The car industry here focuses on pick ups, Beemers, Benzes, 4 cyl family cars and trucks all of which use 20th Century (polluting) technology. The car industry is in expansion here believe it or not. Here, they think introducing E 20 is an environmental solution. The only change on the horizon is more frequent use of those planet-friendly oil company tv commercials.. Solar energy is neither promoted nor subsidized. This in a nation with 300 days of sunshine a year in many places. Hell, it could lead the world in solar power R+D and sales if it wanted. Wind power is not harnessed here. Why do I write this? To underline the fact that Asian nations will be the last to act against climate change and even then will go kicking and screaming. Environmental awareness here is as microscopic as the level of education on the topic among the general populace. Governments around here are stacked with company owning, self interested backward thinking gold amulet wearing mercedes driving octagenarians whose carbon footprints are off the scale. If you haven't already, I'd suggest moving your family well above sea level.

Go to this website. It is a comprehensive site about everything that went on there. There are lists of countries involved, their interests, and what they brought to the table. There are news releases that explain in varying levels of detail what happened, depending on what exactly you are interested in knowing. It's not real easy to explain in just a few sentences. When there are almost 200 countries involved, it can be extremely complicated to explain what was accomplished.

The most amazing statement at the conference was made by the Minister for Papau New Guniea who told the U.S.:
"If you cannot lead, then …get out of the way." This was met with prolonged applause.

nothing was achieved except the U.S. got put on the spot and had to make themselves look good in front of the rest of the world. Some countries actually called out the U.S. on their hypocrisy in leadership about the whole environmental issue and now they have been practically been told to "put up or shut up" and that is long overdue. The fact that it was held in Bali was a bit ridiculous. there was too much travel involved. maybe they should have found a more centralized location. the two year thing made me sick too. we need to move forward NOW! no more talking and a lot more DOING! now is the time for people to get off their asses and help mother nature before our children have to wear a haz-mat suit to wait at the bus stop for our failing and ever decreasing standards of our schools. and there is no way that health care is going to come through for the people who could be harmed in the future due to the current powers to be and their reckless energy waste and pollution spewing! sorry about the rant but it felt good! :-)

I was not surprised to hear that roughly 100 scientists from New Zealand, that challenge the global warming propaganda machine and were protesting the Bali conference were threatened with the revoking of their credentials.

They should have had it in Beijing so they can see what coal fired plants without an EPA oversight or international criticism are REALLY doing to the environment.

certain people admitted we need world government (presumably socialist) to solve global warming

they planted a lot of trees, so it was okay to fly all those jets (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/342281_bali05.html)
