Hopefully soon. The upcoming 2008 elections should have an impact on some of it. I'm 20 and married to an Army man. It's the scariest thought of if and when he will get deployed. Pres. Bush should have never sent them over there. So many innocent lives have been sacrificed... Bless our troops over there <3

War in the middle east has been going on ever since one human figured out that he/she could pick up a club and knock the brains out of another human. The religious beliefs have "evolved", changed. But the same tribalism has remained. This is the root cause of any conflict.
Same for any war, anywhere.....
So to answer your question, the players may change, but the war won't end any time soon.
Hope this helps...

There is no war in Iraq to end. Our military presence in Iraq will end when the Iraqi government no longer wants it, and not a day sooner.

The war is already over. What is going on now is an occupation.
The US will be in Iraq for decades. The violence will taper off, hopefully, as it did in Europe and Korea.
