nothing. parallel circuits = all bright

The brightness depends on the voltage. Putting cells in parallel does not not increase the voltage.

Karen, you're getting answers that don't agree because you aren't including all the info.

By "cells" do you mean battery cells, and if so, are the battery cells being added in parallel to existing cells of the same voltage? If so, then the brightness should not change significantly, unless the existing cells were being overloaded. Please clarify.

I don't think the brightness will change because it is in a parallel circuit, maybe if it was in series it would become brighter.

The voltage would be the same, but the current would be divided/split up......so it will make the bulb dimmer.
