Was this dog his own personal pet that he was training to be a service dog? Do you have to be certified to train a dog to be a service dog? Are there any regulations or standards on training a service dog?

Sounds like Dillards just got a Black eye. Glad i don't shop there, But then again I just passed the link on to several other vets in a chat room. Word will spread.

But yes service dogs are highly trained and certified.

Service dog trainers are licensed and certified by the state. Only certified dogs can be "service dogs."

Hopefully, he will do more than just not shop at Dillards again. I know I won't be anytime soon.
