my 13 year old friend is having a kid and her moms not letting her get another abortion. she wants to name the kid eminem. help this girl find a good name!!!!!!

Hi Cherriel. You are such a thoughtful friend to have some insight into your friend's many issues. There is no sense in debating whether a 13 yr old should be having babies or not. It's done. It also sounds like your friend's Mom has been a big influence in her decision to have (and I'm guessing keep) this baby. You didn't ask anyone to preach; I won't. I only ask that you learn from your friend's situation and think about what would be the right choices if and when you become sexually active. You will be a huge help to your friend as she becomes a mother. She will still be dealing with some teen issues in addition to the whole Mom thing. Don't abandon her. It will be easy to do as your social life heats up. And by all means encourage your friend to think about some birth control for future use. Now, on to naming an innocent child. As tempting as cute and trendy names may be, think about the kids in your classes that have names that are hard to spell or sound funny. Kids get tortured for lots of things and names are one of them. If you know her family this would be a good time to start talking about the names of her relatives, preferably the ones that have been and will be a part of this infant's life. Many Grandmothers and Aunties and And Grandpas and Uncles have been honored to have a child take their name. This will have the added benefit of this adult possibly taking a personal interest in the well-being of a child named for them. Try and stress to your friend that many of today's personalities were not born with the names that we know them by. They often have a more traditional given name and use a stage name as part of their act. Many people have found their children's names in the Bible.

I am sorry to hear that your friend is having a kid at 13 I had my first child at 14 and I truly wish I would have waited. But I do love my kids very much. I named my son after my dead father. I don't think Eminem is good to name a child but if she wants to name a boy after eminem why don't she name him martial (eminems real name) but by the time the child is old enough to know that he has a crazy name and get picked on about it eminem will be a thing of the past and the kids will think that he is named after a candy bar.

I seriously hope this is a hypothetical question asked out of boredom. A 13 year olds should not be havingsex. You'd think shed learn after one abortion. Put the baby up foe adoption. If she won't listen I like

I think it's very sad that a 13 year old is having a baby. I really hope that she knows what she is getting into. The fact that she wants to name the baby eminem shows me how immature she is. I agree about giving the baby up for adoption, clearly she can not handle a child. I seriously hope that the child does not end up as a statistic for abuse.

Naming the kid eminem would be the worst thing you could do to that child. How would you like knowing that your mom named you"disrespectful, worthless, vulgar sack of crap"? She needs to be original, if you have to copy don't copy a celebrity. They always find a way to screw up their lives and your kid will get seriously teased for it.

how about she chooses a two names that begin with M and nickname him Eminem. the rapper is known as Marshall Mathers...but if she can change the first and middle name to like Marshall Michael Marcus Martin Malcolm or Matthew. a name the child can be proud of when he is older.

She can name her child whatever she wants to name it. Her baby...her decision. So, she is 13 and this is another pregnancy...good luck to her and Eminem.
