If you need a report on it, buy it like everyone else does. They aren't free.

This is not a bad vehicle at all but you should get it completely checked out by an independent shop, also if the vehicle is located near a coastline I would then pass.

Car Fax is not the gold standard they make themselves out to be. My was got a long deep passenger side scratch (accident). I had it repaired under insurance. Few years my nephew paid for 1 month unlimited car fax search. I punched in my car VIN and it came up clean.

So take your car to a GOOD mechanic. Don't for the lowest bidder. I answer lots of questions here and I often find here "I took my car to a dealer BEFORE I bought it but now it is broken... etc."

Good Luck.

1984 Old Cutlass Supreme 2 door coupe!

Before you consider buying a car, you should have it checked out by your own mechanic to be sure that it is mechanically sound and safe.

If you do not even know what type of car it is, you have not done enough research on this car!!

FIRE4511 provided you with a very good answer , the only thing I can add is to study this link http://www.usedcartips.org/TESTDRI.html and then you decide if the next step is taking vehicle for an independent inspection
