i am taking my friend out on a date kinda and i dont know if i should buy her a gift when we go to the mall, would it set the wrong tone for the relationship? i heard i shouldnt buy her anything. if i chose without any advice i would take her to the movies, then to some stores and have dinner, well should i buy her a gift or would it be uncalled for. ANY DATING TIPS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

buying expensive stuff on a first date seems a little too needy in my opinion, as well once you are on the date you might not enjoy her as much as you originally thought you would. on the other hand, if she sees something she likes and it's under $10 i think that would be ok. like maybe you tell her to wait on a bench while you go to the bathroom, and then , surprise her and come back with the little gift she liked while you were in the store together. for more dating advice from a girls point of view, here is a link to an article with a top ten list of things you should not do on a first date.

if u really feel moved to get her a gift then do so. buy something like a funny t-shirt. nothing to fancy cuz if she doesnt isnt really diggin u you will regret spending yo money
