I mean, come on they have(more or less) the same games, both have amazing graphics, and both of em have their own little perks. But really why is it when a person favors one, they'll say "Oh, the playstation 3 sucks so bad" Just wondering if there's any reason why these people are so ignorant. (I personally have a PS3 that I just got yesterday, but I feel that my PS3 is no better then the 360 or vice versa)

And I mainly made this question because a friend really pissed me off by saying this to me just now when I told him i had a ps3. Just wondering why he would say something like that. He's probably just jealous though, because all he has is a crappy old xbox

These are their reasons:
1. 360 has more games. True, but the 360 also came out 1 year before the PS3.
2. All the PS3 games are on the 360. Really. I guess the 360 is getting Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, LittleBigPlanet, Haze, Killzone 2, etc.
3. XBL is the greatest thing on Earth. It also costs 50 bucks a year. PS3 has HOME to counter XBL, and HOME is free.
4. Halo 3 is the greatest game ever. If that's true, that's really sad because that means the 360 can't get any better. In just 2 years, the 360 has become antiquated.

Because those people you are talking about are fanboys. They are brainwashed by M$......okay....I just made that up....I think. "Oh, the PS3 sucks so bad" That is really a lie. The PS3 does not suck at all. All the xbox 360 has is Halo 3. And that, Halo 3, is over-hyped. Anyways, just wait for 2008. It will be the biggest year the PS3 will ever have........I think.......but I am sure of that.

Because many teens and tweens begged their parents to get them one when it was first released because they just had to be the first with the "New gen system"...Now they regret it but have to justify their poor choice by proclaiming the 360 king... Well the 360 with outdated dx9 graphics, 1.2 hdmi and an outdated CPU and GPU with shared memory is now showing it's true limitations with games produced on just 8 gig dvds against the ps3 Nvidia RSX graphics chip with dedicated memory and 8 core cell broadband cpu with 3d and 4d motion realism and games on 50 gig blueray discs and hdmi 1.3 output.
If you just got the ps3 yesterday then you haven't had it long enough to really use all the cool things you can do... PLay call of duty 4 on the 360 then on the ps3 using the same hdtv and you'll see a huge difference..ALso the racing game dirt there is a huge difference.

The people that say that kind of stuff are called Fanboys. Even though I don't consider my self a Fanboy, I just like the Sony consoles better because I've only owned Sony consoles and I like the games that Sony makes for it's systems.
But I don't go around saying that the 360 sucks though. I have respect for the 360 and it's games, I just prefer the Sony consoles.
Fanboys will defend their console/product and say that it's better when in reality it may or may not be better. But in reality the PS3 is the better console.

I've only played the Xbox 360 and it was pretty awesome. I only own the PS2 though. I'm not a big gamer sooo I mostly use mine to play DVDs & CDs. Hehe. I considered getting the 360 (Oblivion is awesome!) though.
Everyone just has a favorite.

Both systems are good, but when you look at the specs of each system the PS3 has more graphics power and processing power and includes a HDMI out.

I like the xbox 360 because of the games, I don't think it is better, I just like the game choices better for me. I think they are both great systems. Tell your friend to bite your butt.

they both have pros and cons, the biggest pro for ps3 is blue ray, and 360 has games, personally i feel the 360 is better because technically they are almost identical except for the disk drive and harddrive, the ps3 disappoints me because with their claims of "lightning fast games and little or no load times" is false and even a simple racing game takes 45 seconds or more to load, currently the 360 is more useful and functional but it appears they will be nearly equal in the future, they only real battle for tech is what disk prevails which is still about equal in 3rd party support
