To assure that I get the title. I'm having the car transported from Michigan to Arkansas in an enclosed hauler. They want to do a wire transfer, which is fine, but again, I want to make sure I receive the title. Thanks

There is a certain amount of trust involved in any long distance deal. They will not ship the car until payment is received despite what some here have suggested is possible. You will hava a record of the payment through the bank. Tell the seller to send the title via FedEx so you will receive it before the car gets there. Make sure before you do send any money that the dealer is reputable.

First of all, verify that the dealer is actually a dealer (you can do this by contacting the Michigan DMV. Then look the dealer's phone number up (do not use a number sent to you in an ad or e mail) and call to verify that they are actually selling the vehicle in question!

If they are a legitimate dealer, they will have no problem with this! Ask them to FedEx the title to you and you should have no problems!

You may find that the "dealership" does not exist, or they do not know anything about the car you are buying. In either case, this will let you know it is a scam!

First of all, if you pick up the car in Az. you must get Az. license plates. When you do that you must let your Ins. Co. know about it and you will get insurance enginered for Az. And hang on as far as the cost for plates are there. It's based on the value of the car and if you are driving something fairly expensive it can be costly. I would advise buying the car in your home state and insure it there. And leave it titled in your home state. I don't blame you for not wanting to drive the distance. Have the car shipped. Hope it helps.

Why? There aren't any used cars in your part of town?

ALL scam operate on one basic principle - human greed. When people think they are getting MUCH more than what they are paying for, people easily hand over the cash.

Do you fall in this category?

Good Luck.
