I have a Casio LCD portable tv I am able to get local channels on. Will I still be able to use this tv after the broadcast switch to HD in 2009, or will the TV have to be junked? Thank you!

If the TV doesn't have a connector for an external antenna, then you can't use it. *

If it has a connector for an external antenna, you could use a converter box between another antenna and the TV. Since the converters are probably larger than the TV and need an external power source, this isn't too practical except perhaps as a TV you only use during power outages.

The change in Feb 2009 is to digital TV (DTV), not "HD". Some digital broadcasts are in "HD", some are not.

*There are a few translator stations that will be still broadcasting in analog after 2/17/09. If you don't know what a translator station is, then you probably aren't watching one.
