Basically, the reason Jesus had to die for our sins was so that we could be forgiven and go to be with the Lord. Jesus is God in flesh (John 1:1,14; Col. 2:9) and only God can satisfy the Law requirements of a perfect life and perfect sacrifice that cleanses us of our sins.
All people have sinned against God. But, God is infinitely holy and righteous. He must punish the sinner, the Law breaker. If He didn't, then His law is not law for there is no law that is a law without a punishment. The punishment for breaking the Law is death, separation from God. Therefore, we sinners need a way to escape the righteous judgment of God. Since we are stained by sin and cannot keep the Law of God, then the only one who could do what we cannot is God Himself. That is why Jesus is God in flesh. He is both divine and human. He was made under the Law (Gal. 4:5-6) and He fulfilled it perfectly. Therefore, His sacrifice to God the Father on our behalf is of infinite value and is sufficient to cleanse all people from their sins and undo the offense to God.

Jesus was born because he was sent by God to die for the sins of all in the world. Yes, He was truly treated badly by those who crucified Him and even one of His disciples turned him in to the authorities and identified Him when He was arrested. But Jesus told him before it ever came about that this would happen. The disciple's name was Judas. Jesus knew His life would end with the shedding of His blood on the cross that day. He died for you and for me. That we might have life more abundantly through His love. South Park said this? I am impressed! Glory be to God! Amen

I think God sent Jesus to show non belivers that He is real, and while Jesus walked the Earth he realized that someone had to die for our sins because there were lots of people that were lost. I think Jesus crucifiction was one thing that was totally unplanned. I believe his passing was suppose to be peaceful. Everyone needed an easy way into heaven if they wanted it, and Jesus wanted to be that road to salvation. I believe the more of His blood shed means the more people who will be saved.
Glory be to God. Amen.

God sent his son Jesus down here as a sacrificial lamb to die for our sins. If things remained the way that they were in the old testament, we would be the ones who would be screwed! God knew that we could not behave ourselves in the manner in which we were suppose to so he sent his son here to save us from ourselves. That is a heck of a price to pay Huh?

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, everyone to his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city called Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem: (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them at the inn.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flocks by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone about them; and they were sore afraid. And the angel said to them,

Fear not: for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born today in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will towards men. :)

Mat 1:21 And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

His mission was to die as a propitiatory sacrifice for the sins of His people. It was the only way God's righteousness could be satisfied.

1Ti 1:15 Faithful is the Word and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
