If someone has a good source to disprove this myth it would be much appreciated

It's not true, there'd be very little citric acid actually in the glass from the lime and it'd be diluted in the alcohol, which would it's self be more likely to disinfect the glass if it were strong enough. Besides do you really worry about bacteria on glasses?

You don't need a source. Just use common sense: is there anything uniquely aneseptic about a piece of fruit? It's sugary and slightly acidic. That's it. Wash the glass with soap and hot water. Problem solved.

PS Lime also can't "cook" fish.

Wrong. Even straight whisky is not strong enough to disinfect the glass.

the alcohol itself IS a disinfectant. Old timey country doctors used to pour whiskey on a wound to disinfect.

Just a myth. I think it started in Mexico and brought here with the Corona's Beer.
