You need to be a little more specific. Are you talking about Cologne? Or some kind of mind altering mist in the air to influence the people?

Wicca and witchcraft are two different things, although they are sometimes intertwined. People are scared of what they don't understand. Kings would tell stories of God or some other form of God to scare their people. Seriously, what better way to get people to do what you want. Tell them "don't kill because some invisible being will kill you" or "pay me this tax or God will kill you". People did not understand and was therefore scared and did what they were asked. Wicca is the religion itself and witchcraft is the magic part. Neither one is evil but there is a few bad apples in the bunch. The use of certain herbs and spices are necessary for certain rituals. LSD helps to promote hallucinations that make them feel as though they can see the holy spirit. Some people needs to believe and they will do what even they need to in order to convince themselves.

Witchcraft is not evil. Hatred and ignorance are. Your church needs to be aired out but good.
